Videotape Inventory

Now it may look like I'm trying to do a movie that's a sequel to the Toy Story, called the TOOL STORY! But I'm not! Come on ... I'll show you why.

Actually, I'm making an inventory of all of our goodies! It's ideal to use a cam corder because you can take pictures and talk about it at the same time. You can talk about the price that you paid for some things, you can have serial numbers on there, and give a description on there of everything.

Now what do you take? Well, you want to include all of your silver, flatware, silver service, all your jewelry, cameras...things like that. You would also want to include electronics. As you go through, go ahead and take a picture of your clothes and everything because your insurance policy may be great but it probably doesn't' spell out everything. And if you had a theft or if you had a fire, would you remember everything? Would the police be able to identify it? This is going to help! When you get through, take the tape out and take it to the bank. Put it in a safety deposit box. You wouldn't want it here in case of a fire. I just remembered, I want to be sure we get a picture of our paintings. Like the one over there with Elvis on the velvet!
