Ultrasonic Pest Control

Maybe you have seen ads like this. They are advertising a device that through ultrasonic waves are going to be able to drive the rats, mice and roaches out of your home. It would be great if it worked. Let's find out if it does. First of all, we have a couple of these devices, they are fairly expensive and of course they would be well worth it if they worked. You plug them in, the little red light comes on, then it's supposed to drive these little rodents crazy. The sound is supposed to make them want to leave. But wait a minute we will plug in a second one and see what happens. Let's see, the light is on there. And here we go. Another one. Looks to me that we have bombed out completely. Actually this is not a very scientific study. But the people at Texas A & M and other reputable Universities have done studies with these devices and they said their results showed that they had absolutely no influence on roaches, rats or mice. So what do you do?

Well, first of all don't invest your money in one of these because they don't work. And then secondly, why don't you do some things that will keep the population, the pest population from wanting to come into your home. Don't leave food out for them, don't leave water out for them. Try to figure out how they're getting in and plug up those holes. And if you do all of that, then you can get on a program. Best way to get rid of rats and mice is to set traps or use poison. Use it wisely and it will take care of the problem. Roaches, hard to get rid of but there are insecticides that will help you.
