The most time-consuming and sometimes challenging step will be removing the old faucet, especially of your water supply connections are corroded (and therefore, stubborn to disconnect). Installing the new faucet, however, should be relatively simple.
Tools & Materials
- Screwdriver (Phillips and regular)
- Adjustable wrench (or basin wrench for hard to reach areas)
- Flashlight
- Pliers
- Plumber's putty (not required on all installations)
- Teflon tape
- Water supply lines
TIP: Use penetrating oil to help loosen corroded mounting nuts.
Step-by-Step
Step 1

Turn off water to supply lines. Turn on faucet to relieve pressure.
Step 2

Disconnect supply lines.
Step 3

Remove mounting nuts. You may need a basin wrench.
Step 4

Remove old faucet from sink.
Step 5

Clean the sink area.
Step 6

Place new faucet (and hose spray) on sink. Use either the gasket provided or plumber's putty to make a seal.
Step 7

Tighten mounting nuts.
Step 8

Wrap Teflon tape clockwise around faucet inlet threads.
Step 9

Tighten supply line connections.
Step 10

Turn on water and check all connections. Tighten if necessary.
