Bug Spray

Al Carrell: I'm using a bug spray that makes it easy on the environment, but carrying this thing around is not easy at all. I've got another recipe that involves using the hose-end spray, still environmentally safe though. Come on and I'll show you.

This recipe has only four ingredients:

  • Water (from hose-end sprayer)
  • 1 cup liquid dishwashing soap
  • 1 cup mouthwash (the kind that says antiseptic on it)
  • 1 cup tobacco juice

So we'll start with a cup of soap - pour that right in there - a cup of mouthwash, and how do you make tobacco juice? Well, you take about a pinch of tobacco. If you use the kind that's in a block you have to break it up, put it in water and let it sit overnight. After that, it turns into tobacco juice. However, you do wanna strain the pulp out so it doesn't get in and foul up your sprayer. And you really only need a cup of that. So we'll pour that in place. Now, you're ready to get the hose hooked up and you'll go out there and spray those bugs and drive them away.
