Baking Soda

The baking soda people are really pretty smart. They figured out that baking soda will absorb odors. And, so they got everybody in the country putting a box of baking soda in their refrigerators, but there are a lot of other handy uses for it:

  • Putting out a grease fires
  • Polishing up metal
  • Use it when there's mildew in a book. Just sprinkle a little on the pages where the mildew is, rub it around, and let it sit for a couple of days
  • Put a box in your cooler that you took on the camping trip or to the ballpark
  • Sprinkle a little baking soda in a pair of rubber gloves that you plan to wear for cleaning or working with chemicals. It makes removing the gloves easier and removes that sweaty smell
